International Master Class Series - Charles Castleman

Professor of Violin at Eastman School of Music since 1975, Castleman is a celebrated soloist who won the Silver Medal at the Queen Elizabeth Competition at the age of 22. Two years later, he won

 the the Bronze medal at the Tschaikovsky Competition. With medals from two of the most prestigious and competitive competitions, he toured around the world to give master classes and perform as soloist, with the orchestra of Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Moscow, New York, Seoul, Hong Kong, Shanghai etc. Like all prominent soloists, he has an impressive discography that includes the most difficult repertoire of the century, including Ysaye's Six Sonatas, Sarasate's Violin Favourites and Jeno Hubay's Czardases.


A. Master Class for Solo and Chamber

Fee: Solo - $2400 (3 sessions of 45 mins) / $4800 (6 sessions of 45 mins)
        Chamber - Fee: $3000 (3 sessions of 60 mins) / $6000 (6 sessions of 60 mins)      
        Accompaniment - $500 / 45 mins or $600 / 60 mins

B. Concert
Date: 15 August, 2015
Time: 10:00-11:30

Venue: Recital Hall, Hong Kong City Hall

Participant who cannot arrange their own accompanist can arrange through the Organizer. Financial subsidy is available for qualified applicants.
