Vienna Boys Choir Concert Tour 2015
Vienna Boys Choir performed under their first HK conductor
On 10th and 11th October, 2300 people in two sold-out concerts gave standing ovations as they were mesmerised by Vienna Boys Choir's angelic voices. Under the baton of the first Hong Kong-born conductor, Jimmy Chiang, the audience enjoyed a diversifiedprogramme including Schubert, Haydn, Johann Strauss, Jr. and Chinese folk songs.
The Choir first exhibited their prestige in Hong Kong City Hall. The concert was attended by public figures including Mrs. Carrie Lam, Chief Secretary for Administration and Dr. Claudia Reinprecht, Austrian Consulate General. After this successful evening, the Vienna Boys Choir brought their music to the families of Yuen Long as they sang in the local theatre. Best loved were not only the songs of traditional Hong Kong origin but also typical Austrian folk songs like yodlers.
